Message Board Main Page >  General Information Main Topic Post: General Information Posted By: clambake Subject: Beach Patrol/Donald Edge A police officer with the horry county beach patrol indentified as Donald Edge was suspended with out pay for 2 weeks for violations of department policies. He met a woman while on duty many times behind the cvs, beach church and grand strand memorial. It was said that he got rough with this lady the he was meeting because she didn't like how he was touching her. He kept pulling her shirt up and she pulled it down several times and he got angry and put his hand under her chin/towards her neck and then over her mouth to prevent her from speaking. He said "let me take care of you" and she refused and he told her the next time they meet how about have a few beers. This happened while he was in uniform and on duty. He took his radio off and gun belt twice when meeting with this lady. According to the investigation it says if she got roughed up why did she go back to him. I don't think anyone has investigated "why" this lady went back to this officer or what was said for her to go back. I assume in the eyes of horry county that it must make it alright for one of there officers to treat a woman this way; if she went back. The officer aparently talked this lady out of a few hundred dollars and a cell phone because he could not afford one. He claimed that he was having financial problems and at times it was hard to him to find a meal. Her property was eventually returned to her thanks to the police chief. This officer had threatened this lady several times if she went and told on him for meeting her and treating her roughly on a specific date. She found out that he was married and he couldn't remember if he got a divorce or not. He told her he thought his wife got one. He told her that his wife left him and he wasn't allowed to be around the kids. One child was hungry and called him and he aparently secretly gave him a pizza. This whole nonsense about this pizza crap brought up a "red flag" or several to the victim and she wanted her stuff to be returned. The officer would not return her things and after his threats towards her is when she got involved with reporting him to his supervisor. He also violated using the county computer to email her numerous times while on duty. This officer lied repeatedly to the victim about his marital status, finances and a slew of other things. The victim is aware that the officer has anger issues since she witnessed it first hand and several times there after. I am appalled that someone with anger issues and aggression is allowed to carry a gun. I agree, it is scary that he is allowed to carry a gun. They should give him a whistle to carry. He just wanted to be a tough man and abuse his privelege of wearing a uniform. Must of done something pretty awful for that to happen with the delivering of a pizza secretly and all. I would of never went back to this Officer. He probably sweet talked her into coming back so she wouldn't tell on him. Red Flag people.. if he wasn't allowed to be around his kids and a wife who left him, something was definatley up with that. He sounds very mental and disturbed. Just because she went back that makes it Ok for one of there officers who's suppose to be representing a dept to do this to someone. It is absolutely ridiculous. A supervisor had mentioned "I see this happen all the time". If you see this happen all the time, then why don't you do something to stop it. And why would anyone who works for a police dept make that comment to someone especially a complaintant. It obviously isn't giving there dept a good name by no means. I mean they weren't talking about the local Cracker Barrel where they see this happen all the time. Like I have said before, if this happens all the time in there dept then something is seriously wrong down the line somewhere. It's ashame that he got away with manhandling this girl the way he did. Through a source he has done this before but was never turned in or reported. He was traced back to his brothers office, Tracy Edge our wonderful State Rep. Wow what a great track record. Not only are these two pretty stupid to scheme that way but then get busted in the process. You see, Donald has been on a mission to find out how people know about his 2 week nonpay suspension. So he comes on Topix posing as different people and then sent me emails, that are posted on Topix; at least some of them. But recently I found that he was at his brothers office Edge Holding Co emailing from there posing as holcombeT. Then he got busted by me and now he's running and hiding again. Must be a great life to live always running, hiding and scheming. Then stoop so low to get your brother involved who is our states rep. lol From what I've been told, he's trying to sue the Horry County Police Dept. As long as I'm alive that will never happen because I have enough info to ruin his plans. He's always about money but for me it's about principal...
